Food

In the food industry, ultrasound helps to optimize the flowability of bulk solids

For plant engineers, OEMs and end users, our ultrasonic systems are the ideal companions to more quality and productivity

Due to their characteristics, bulk solids from the food industry often tend to clog up bulk material handling equipment during sieving or conveying. Without ultrasound, the sieve meshes can quickly become clogged and silos, hoppers and conveying pipes can negatively influence the production process due to bridging or shaft formation.

Compared to conventional flow aids, ultrasound has several advantages

Why our ultrasound is the right choice to optimize your food manufacturing and processing operations.

01

No contamination: components outside the sieve area

02

De-aeration of powder leads to increased quality

03

Prevention of demixing: the right mix makes the difference

04

Compact system size and digital interfaces: easy plant integration

05

Increased throughput and complete emptying of bulk material containers

Areas of application

01

Powder preparation / screening

Thanks to ultrasound, impurities are sieved out with maximum efficiency and agglomerates are broken up. The oversize particles are separated more quickly than with mechanical flow aids. For users, this means a higher yield using less space.

02

Powder production / discharging and conveying

During the processing of solids for the food industry, classical flow problems such as bridging and demixing occur repeatedly. Thanks to ultrasound, even solids that are difficult to convey, such as flour or sugar, can flow continuously. The residual quantities of the product are completely emptied from bulk material containers such as hoppers, cyclones and chutes. Cleaning cycles are thus reduced to the minimum.

03

Powder production / Dosing

Classical dosing units with mechanical vibrations are characterized by noisy and energy-consuming operation. Dosing units with ultrasound, on the other hand, through simple programming, can quietly and energy-efficiently dose powder from bulk material vessels.

The perfect complement to your existingnew
system

Our patented technology gives you the greatest possible flexibility. Regardless of the geometry, new as well as existing systems can be supported with ultrasound.

Efficient sieving, discharging, conveying and dosing made easy.

The user-friendly solutions get the bulk material moving. Without having to match the geometry to be excited to the frequency of the ultrasonic generator.

Avoiding problems during screening and discharging

While during sieving the sieve mesh remains clear for longer and the separation efficiency is increased, when discharging from silos, among others, classic problems such as bridging and ratholing are prevented thanks to ultrasound.

Reduction of ongoing operating costs

Because ultrasound keeps the product flowing and ensures a continuous process, expensive product downtime can be avoided. In addition, ultrasonic components contribute to significantly lower energy costs compared to pneumatic and mechanical flow aids.
